New Beginnings
It has been a while since I've written anything so pardon my grammatical errors! I have been reflecting on my life lately and so much as changed since my last post in 2010. ( I only had 2 prior posts... 😅)
1. I graduated from college!
I graduated from Calstate Long Beach in 2014 and got my Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Psychology...Go Beach! Currently not using my degree but if you want to talk about "Organic Solidarity"... I'm all ears!
2. I got into my first long term relationship...
We're no longer together and my heart was broken... BUT within those five and a half years, I have grown and learned so much. I'm currently in a relationship with someone else and I've never been more secure. More on this later... 😅
3. I've had several different career paths...
After graduating, I got my first job as an Assistant Teacher for a Montessori school and I thought that this was going to be the career path I was going to take. Four short months later I decided that working with kids was EXHAUSTING 😆, and I found myself at an office job which shaped the next 2.5 years of my life. At this company, I somehow managed to move my way up to a "Marketing Analyst" position but I still wasn't completely satisfied with what I was doing. Fast forward to now and I'm currently a Counter Manager for Clinique.
This little "flow chart thing" below might be easier to follow... I also included other jobs I had during this time period.
Assistant Teacher (2015) ⇨ VOE Processor (2015) ⇨ "Customer Happiness" Rep (2015-2017) ⇨ Marketing Analyst (2018) ⇨ Madewell Sales Associate (2018) ⇨ Beauty Advisor 2018-2019) ⇨ Counter Manager (October 21, 2019 - Present)
These are the 3 major milestones in my life so far since 2010! You might be wondering why start a blog now? Lately I have been feeling like I lack purpose and I thought maybe writing my thoughts down might give me a new perspective on what I should be doing with my life.
